Frequently asked questions

Who is Molly, anyway?
Molly is Maroubra's own Emma "Molly" Malone. Molly has been in the  food game on all sides of the playing field for the last 20 years, including 15 years of experience in corporate hospitality. From the kitchen to management, front of house, sales and marketing, Molly knows the café business as well as anybody. Molly's philosophy is "fresh and simple" with a definite "no attitude" policy.

Who is that handsome guy behind the coffee machine?
That would be our genius barista, Eddie Lillis. Eddie is Molly's Right Hand Man, tirelessly serving coffee lovers some of the best brews Sydney has to offer. With his long wrap sheet in hospitality, Eddie, who arrived at the café just a few months after the grand opening, has differently completed the Molly fable.

Are children welcome at Molly's?
Yes, of course! No anti-kid snobbery here! One of the best things about Maroubra is that it's a great place for kids, so it only seemed fair to open a café that welcomes families of all ages – one that makes kids, and their parents feel comfortable and at home. We're more than happy to make room for one more pram, and our staff seem to always find a spare minute or two to entertain our pint-sized guests. We have a creative corner with paper, art materials and various crafty bits and pieces, so your kids are free to express their artistic genius while you relax with a cuppa. Bliss!

What about my dog?
Dogs are perfectly welcome in the outdoor (streetside) area at Molly's, provided they are impeccably behaved, of course.
